Today we have six (6) students from local area high schools (Escondido High, Orange Glen High and San Pasqual High) participating in "Job Shadow Day".  This is an annual event run by Escondido Education COMPACT where the business community of Escondido has the opportunity to inspire high school youth, grades 9-12, to become successful workers in the future.  The students come in to various businesses throughout the community to shadow professionals in a career of their interest.  Janathan L. Allen, APC and Allen Barron, Inc. are currently mentoring students interested in the legal, tax and accounting fields.  The students are encouraged to ask questions throughout the day and gain insight about different jobs and skills that are required for a certain career.

Our office has gained two (2) high school interns from this program who come in after school to assist with various administrative tasks.  In return, they gain helpful office experience and are provided with a reference letter for their college applications.
